There were many people getting on and off the bus along the way. (This route is popular with elderly people.)

A highway juku, more commonly known as a post town or shukuba, refers to the historical rest stations established along major routes in the Edo period. (Ome Juku is located around Ome Station.)

In the Noto Earthquake 38 houses collapsed, 263 were partially destroyed and 1,855 others were damaged. (They are very slowly recovering from this disaster.)
