September 9, 2022

Had a very nice day. Visited my cousin who is living on Bainbridge Island. His son just started high school there from yesterday. His son Braeden, a.k.a. “the Bear” is 14 years old and is 193 cm tall.

The drive to Seattle to catch the ferry was a little less than two hours. When we got to the ferry terminal, we had to wait only 10 minutes to board the ferry. The ferry ride was 35 minutes. They live only a few minutes from the ferry terminal on Bainbridge. We talked a lot then went out for lunch. The Vietnamese food was delicious. We then drove across the island to a different ferry. Again, good timing, we only waited about 5 minutes to board.

It was a simple day but enjoyed talking about the good old days and what’s been happening for three years since I last saw them.

The first two photos of Christina and me on the ferry in Seattle. The next two are of cousins Pat and Billie and of course, the final photo of another common 8 pm sunset.

I should also mention, Marlo called us to let us know she was promoted to the varsity soccer team. She was on the junior varsity team. She played a game two days ago. Yesterday, two of the varsity team coaches asked her for her full name, gave her a high-five and said she played very well. She is one of the youngest players on the team. The coach called her today and said she will start playing on the varsity team which is the highest level for middle school. (Proud grandpa.)
