She sent me this photo of the sunset after a rainy day. After seeing the photo, I wished that I went with her. I’ve been walking about 45 minutes a day, six days a week. I will continue after I return home. Marlo had to sit out for her Thursday soccer game. Her coach wants her knee to get better before she plays, Hopefully she can play in her next game. She is kinda bummed out not being able to play, but it is important for her knee to heal. Now for football news. As I mentioned, many times – sorry, Anacortes is ranked number one and Linden number two. Before the game Tyler said that Anacortes would win easily. He said Linden was good but the Anacortes Seahawks were much better. Linden received the ball first, Tyler’s name was announced for great tackles on the first two plays (and many more times later) so Linden punted the ball on fourth down. Anacortes scored a touchdown on their second play. The final score was Anacortes 35 and Linden 21. The grandstands were standing-room-only. I was lucky since Christina takes photos of the games. I could stand on the sideline and watch the game up close. The only problem was that it was cold and there was dew on grass, so it was wet. You could see your breath. I stood in 12-degree temperature for three hours. Needless to say, I slept like a baby last night. Next Friday, October 4, is “Senior Night” at the game. They celebrate all of the seniors after the game, one by one. Then they take photos of each senior player and their families. That will be nice, but… it will take much time on a cold night. I will sleep like a baby on my flight home two days later. I can’t believe that I’ve been here for two weeks already. I’ve been so busy with laundry, dishes, napping, and sports, sports, sports. Time flies when you are having fun. I leave a week from tomorrow. I’m have a great time, but there’s “No place like home.” |
