I’ve got good news and bad news.

Marlo had a soccer game on Thursday. Again, the opposing team is a 3A school, so it has more students to choose from. Their soccer team has one player who was already accepted by a D1 university soccer team. A D1 college have a very strong athletics program. They recruit only the highest-level athletes. Professional teams draft many of their players from D1 colleges. Marlo is a first-year high school student, or a high school freshman, and the D1 player is a fourth year high school student, or a high school senior. Marlo’s coach positioned Marlo against the D1 player because Marlo is fast. Marlo prevented her from scoring, but their team scored two points to the Anacortes team’s one point. They lost but played very well.

Tyler’s team easily won their football game. The score was 42-0 at halftime. The starters sat out during the second half. The second and third-string players finished the game. They second half was a little more exciting since our second and third string player are at about the same level of the other team’s first string. The final score was 49-0.

As I mentioned before, next Friday’s game will be an exciting one. Anacortes is ranked number one and the other team number two in the State of Washington.

Yesterday morning I walked for about 30 minutes and then again for about 45 minutes in the afternoon with Christina. During Tyler’s game we walked up and down the sidelines many times.

Today we will have a BBQ with Christina’s and Andrew’s employees and many friends. I am helping to get ready now.
