It is 12.27 m tall and 1,000 kg of liquid chocolate cascades down through the golden rings. This chocolate shop is also a museum which explains the history of chocolate. The cacao bean was first used to make a bitter drink around 1900 BC in Central America. After the Spanish added sugar and made a paste, it became very popular in Europe. This chocolate fountain is reminiscent of Will Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. International Interpreters and Translators Week is from September 22-28. Interpreters translate spoken language orally, while translators translate the written word. Interpreters must be fluent in both languages. Translators can take their time and use computer software and research books. An interpreter must understand both language cultures, idioms, voice inflections etc. “To break in” means “to forcibly or illegally enter, interrupt a conversation or to soften something.” Someone broke into my house last weekend. I am sorry to break in boss, but you have an important phone call. I am breaking in my new hiking boots. |
