Yancheng, China, holds the record for the largest hedge maze.

The maze covers 35,596.74 square meters.

It also holds the record for the longest maze path measuring 9.45 km.

Due to its size, there are more than 10 garden rest areas

Over 100,000 bushes and shrubs were used to make the shape of an elk.

An elk is a small version of a moose, and a moose has different style antlers than other deer.

(Note: Shrubs are similar to trees but have many stems. A bush has leaves closer to the ground and are usually seen in the wild. A hedge is a fence made with shrubs and bushes.)

May 13 is Crouton Day.

A crouton is a piece of crispy sautéed or re-baked bread.

Croutons are usually cubed and seasoned but can come in any size or shape.

Croutons are used to add texture and flavor to salads, soups and stews.

The word “crouton” comes from the French word “croute” which means “crust.”

A croute was a slice of a baguette lightly brushed with oil or butter and baked.

“Zero in on” means “to focus on.”

We have to zero in on this problem and fix it.

“Zone out” means “to daydream.”

He zoned out during class.
