This chocolate train included one locomotive and 22 carriages, each weighing up to 160 kg. They cut about 5,000 pieces of chocolate including 180 wheels. It took one year to plan and cut the pieces of chocolate and another four months to assemble it. March 6 is National Frozen Food Day. Clarence Birdseye watched Inuit freezing freshly caught fish using ice, wind and temperature. He wondered if this method, called flash freezing, could be used for other foods. During flash freezing, vegetables are frozen instantly. Flash-frozen veggies are nearly identical to fresh in taste, flavor, texture, and color. Birds Eye established the first successful frozen food company on March 6, 1930. “In the works” means “currently being developed.” Our new website is in the works.
