She finished playing 18 holes in just 52 minutes 11 seconds. She had to carry her own equipment, tee up her ball and couldn’t use a golf cart. She trained up to eight hours a day and dealt with fatigue, blisters, and mental breakdowns. She said golf teaches patience, focus, and discipline, which are useful in every part of life. He is known for inventing dynamite. (Greek word meaning “power”.) When dynamite was used for fighting wars, he regretted inventing it. The Nobel categories are physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, peace, and economics. He posthumously donated most of his wealth to found the Nobel Prize. Two requirements for the Peace Prize are promoting friendship between nations and promotion of peace. “In mint condition” means “in perfect condition.” His classic car is in mint condition. “In a bind” means “in a difficult situation.” Farmers are in a bind because of the drought. |
