Emil Ohlsson and Fredrik Nilsson broke the record for longest table tennis rally.

A rally in table tennis is the period from the serve until a point is scored.

The “Spin Duo”, as they like to call themselves, played 13 hours 37 minutes and 6 seconds.

They spent four months training both mentally and physically.

The training included mastering multitasking such as eating while playing.

December 12 is Poinsettia Day.

Poinsettias originated in Mexico and Central America.

 It is well known for its red and green foliage and is widely used in Christmas floral displays.

It was named after Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States ambassador to Mexico.

He introduced the plant to the US in the 1820s.

“Iffy” means “uncertain.”

The weather forecast says it might rain on Sunday, so it is iffy that the game will be postponed.

“If worse comes to worst” means “if things get really bad.”

The ceremony will be held outdoors, but if worse comes to worst and it rains, we will move inside.
