My Notes April 2025 Week 4

The Vegetable Orchestra in Vienna, Austria, holds the record for most concerts by a vegetable orchestra.

The band has performed 344 concerts using their veggies as instruments.

All members came from musical backgrounds such as electronic, rock, punk, and classical.

Some instruments are the carrot recorder, percussion eggplants and a leek violin.

The band chef turns unused vegetables into a soup for the concertgoers to enjoy after the performance.

They have heard the question, “Are you all vegetarian?” at least three million times.

April 30 to May 2 are National Golf Days.

The modern game of golf originated in 15th century Scotland.

King James II banned the game in 1457 as an unwelcome distraction to learning archery.

King James IV lifted the ban in 1502 when he became a golfer himself.

The word "golf" comes from the Dutch word “kolf,” which means "club".

The oldest golf course in Japan is the Kobe Golf Club which was established in 1903.

” Food for thought” means “something to think about.”

That documentary gave me some food for thought.
“For what it's worth” means “something said that may or may not be useful.”

For what it's worth, I think that exercising will relieve your stress.
