Yesterday I had a PET scan. They put some radioactive in my blood veins. After resting for an hour, they did the scan.

I had an appointment today to discuss the results. She showed me where the cancerous tumors are located. The tonsil does have a malignant tumor. She also thinks there is possibly another one at the back of my tongue. She took a biopsy of both locations. She also feels that the tonsil tumor is the original tumor that caused the other tumors. It takes about 5 days to check the biopsies. I will see Doctor Ozawa on Tuesday. I am pretty sure that the doctor will finally be able to schedule the treatment.

I’m hanging in there and staying positive. The next step is determining what type of treatment and the schedule.

(I will teach Imai class on Tuesday and Nick will teach at Mizuho, the same as this week.)
