Thirty-one-year-old Laura Bird set the record for fastest marathon carrying a household appliance.

She raised about 1,333,000 yen by finishing a marathon while carrying a fridge.

Jackie Scully, 42, and nine others completed the marathon while wearing a 10-person costume.

2024 marks her 10 years of being cancer-free from breast cancer.

Her goal is to raise 19,140,900 yen to support the organizations that saved her life.

May 20 is National Bee Day.

In 2022, US beekeepers lost about half of their bee population.

There is a strawberry farmer in Japan who raises bees to pollinate his berries.

Bee colonies around the world have disappeared, probably due to climate change and pesticides.

“A diehard” is “a person who strongly supports something.”

"Best of both worlds" means “having the benefits of two different things at the same time.”
