To eat one's words

Lessons January 2025 Week 3

Chad Caruso made the fastest crossing of America on a skateboard.

It took him 57 days, 6 hours and 56 minutes to travel 3,162 miles (5,089 km).

He started in Venice Beach, CA and finished in Virginia Beach, VA.

He traveled alone with nothing but a light backpack and his board.

Once he got there, he jubilantly flipped his board into the ocean.

Marjorie Fiterman and Bernie Littman are the oldest couple to marry.

When they got married, their combined ages was 202 years and 271 days.

Marjorie was 102 and Bernie was 100 years old.

When their spouses passed away, they moved into the same floor of a senior living facility.

They tied the knot after a nine-year relationship.

They both attended the same university at the same time, but didn’t know each other.

“Ease off or ease up” means “to start doing something less intensely.”

Don't criticize him so much. Ease off a little bit!
“Easy come, easy go” means “to explain the loss of something that was very easily obtained.”

He won the lottery but quickly spent all the money. Oh well, easy come easy go.
