Lessons April 2024 Week 4

19-year-old Matt Suter set a record for the farthest distance survived in a tornado.

Matt was sucked up and carried 398 meters but did not die.

His head was struck by a heavy lamp, knocking him unconscious.

He woke up in a grassy field and walked to a neighbor's house to get help.

Matt said he was grateful to be alive and he started going to church.

He planned to help his grandmother rebuild her home with an underground storm shelter.

April 18 is National Animal Crackers Day.

Animal Crackers were first made in England in the late 1800s.

More than 40 million packages of Barnum's Animals Crackers are sold each year.

Nabisco redesigned the packaging because of pressure from PETA, an animal rights organization.

In August 2018 Nabisco designed a new package showing the animals roaming free.

“A great catch” means "someone who has many good qualities and would make a great partner.”

She is beautiful, very intelligent and has a kind heart; she would be a great catch
