I got some good news yesterday. Doctor Osawa, the top doctor in charge of ENT, said that if my blood tests are good on next Monday then I can go home soon. That means that maybe I can go home next Tuesday or Wednesday. Today’s tests were ok. The numbers were slightly down but not bad. 

I also talked with the radiologist yesterday. He and the other doctors are a little surprised that my side effects are much milder than normal. This is another reason that I might leave early. I never lost my sense of taste.  I was never nauseous. My pain is not strong. I won’t know for sure when I will leave here but I should know on Monday. 

I’ll have to return for checkups a week after I go home but I can sleep in my be and eat real food. 

My daughter and I both believe that positive thinking helps our bodies get stronger. Is that true?  I don’t know. But I think that negative thinking makes our bodies weaker. 

I have only two more radiation treatments. One tomorrow then the final one on Monday. No matter what happens on Monday I’ll be home soon. 

I’ll play it by ear on when I will start teaching again. Very soon I hope. I miss you all.
