Greetings from Anacortes!

I've been here for almost a week now. Enjoying time with my grandkids. They are growing so quickly! Tyler, Marlo and I made some peanutbutter cookies. We baked half of them yesterday as a gift for their babysitter. We will bake the other half today for us. They also requested that we bake sugar cookies using cookie cutters. This will be my first attempt at making this type cookie so I hope all goes well.

The weather has been a little abnormal. The temperature and rain is about normal, around 10 C and rain off and on during the day. But, we have had several strong sind storms since I got here. Yesterday, the power went out for most of Burlington, where Christina and Andrew's business is located. Many trees and power lines fell over from the wind. Most areas have power this morning, except their office. 

Several days ago, there was a tornado on the Olympic Penninsula here in Washington. The last time Washington State had a tornado was in 1962, so this was very strange and unexpected. Here is a photo of some of the damage. 

Yesterday, Marlo's basketball team had their end-of-season pizza party. Their season finished last Saturday, but my flight got in too late for me to see their final game.

Well, that's about it for now. Time to do more laundry, house cleaning and baking.
