He backed into my car. (An elderly man accidently hit her car.)

He dented the bumper and scratched the side of the car. (His insurance paid for the repairs.)

She held up her skirt with one hand and made the hula movements with her other hand. (The elastic waist band that holds up her hula skirt broke.)

People are not excited about the Osaka Expo 2025. (What is the difference between “excited” and “exciting?”)

E-tickets are the most popular way to reserve plane tickets. (We are living in a soon-to-be paperless society.)

The side dishes were dim sum. (The main dish was shark fin and noodles.)

It was a sesame bun stuffed with sweet bean paste. (I guess this is a type of manju.)

We had “annin tofu” for dessert. (Although there are no tofu or almonds used in this dessert, it has the texture of silken tofu and a taste reminiscent of almonds.)

They will sell the milk in cartons instead of glass bottles. (The package is made of wax-coated thick paper.)

There was little snow on the ground. (“Snow” is not countable so don’t say “few” snow.)
