39-year-old Daisy Ptak broke the record for crocheting the longest scarf.

The scarf measured a remarkable 299.3 meters.

It took her one year and ten days to finish the project.

She crocheted about 60 cm per day and used about 250 balls of yard.

She crocheted on buses, trains, while watching movies and her children’s sports and one time while sitting on a frozen lake in Alaska while watching the northern lights.
The first Saturday is November is Sausage and Kraut Day.

Sauerkraut is finely cut cabbage that has been fermented.

Some people say that sauerkraut originated in China, others say in the Roman era and still others say in several European countries.

In ancient time, it was very common to preserve food in salt.

The word sauerkraut comes from Germany, and it is very popular served with Polish sausage.

“Hyped” means “very excited.”

I’m really hyped about this week’s football game.

“Icky” means “gross or disgusting.”

Some people say that natto is icky.
