My Notes April 2026 Week 3

A tortoise named Jonathon is the oldest living land-animal.

He was born on an island in the Indian Ocean circa 1832 and will be 193 years old in 2025.

He has been residing on Saint Helena Island in the South Atlantic since 1882.

Jonathon lives with three other giant tortoises at a plantation built in 1791.

He is blind due to cataracts and has no sense of smell.

Otherwise, he has a good appetite and is very “active.”

World meningitis Day is on April 14.

People of all ages can get meningitis, but it is more common in infants and elderly people.

The symptoms for meningitis are similar to the flu.

The best prevention from getting meningitis is to be vaccinated.

There are several types of meningitis with many types of after-affects.

The effects range from headaches, memory loss, hearing loss, amputation, etc.

“Kit and caboodle” means “everything.”

He bought the whole kit and caboodle: a computer, printer and modem.

“Wing it” means “to do something without preparing.”

I was asked to give a speech, but I didn’t have any notes, so I had to wing it.
