Lessons January 2024 Week 1

Matthew Godfrey hit a marshmallow the farthest distance into the mouth with a golf club.

The marshmallow flew 29.89 meters into Darcy Bennett’s mouth.

It took time to choose the right club for distance and loft.

The wrong club or wrong swing speed would blow the marshmallow to smithereens.

Their families had a ton of fun practicing catching the marshmallows.

Matthew and Darcy crushed the previous record by 4.89 meters.

December is Buckwheat Month.

Buckwheat is not in the wheat family but is used like wheat flour.

Buckwheat was cultivated in China since around 6000 BCE and in Japan from around 4000 BCE.

Buckwheat noodles, a.k.a. soba, are difficult to make because buckwheat is gluten-free.

Buckwheat is more nutritious than other grains.
