A great catch

Go down in flames

Lessons April 2024 Week 3

Suchetha Satish, 18, from India, broke the record for most languages sung in a concert.

She sang in 140 different languages to raise awareness about climate change.

It took her nine hours to complete the concert.

Each song had to be at least two minutes and she could take a five-minute break each hour.

Singing for nine hours needed stamina, vocal strength, musical skills, and linguistic skills.

April 11 is Submarine Day.

A submarine, also called a sub, is a watercraft operated underwater.

The first underwater vehicle was made in the mid-1500s.

The first military submersible was the Turtle made in 1775 in the US.

The Turtle was a failure, but it led to designing a workable submarine.

Modern submarines can stay submerged for about four months.

“To shake it off” means “to get rid of bad feelings.”

After losing the game, I told them to shake it off and practice hard to win the next game.
